Originally a tea warehouse for many decades, Bonham49 became unoccupied and unloved, until it was taken over by a AjHalkes and converted into a photo studio. This operated right until the legendary Hong Kong F&B entrepreneur, Wayne Parfitt, decided to open the Mexican Cantina known as El Gringo Loco which itself became famous or infamous.

After a short few years during Covid as an Italian restaurant, Bonham 49 is now re-opened as an event space, art gallery and uniquely fully licensed restaurant and bar; suitable for functions, photo shoots, and exhibitions.
